Backup PVR allows backing up of Voice PVR, Phone Call PVR, Meeting PVR, Voice Mail and other LivePVR recorded files. Backup can be on-demand or automatic. Currently, backup feature in LivePVR emails the recorded files along with their context to a specified email id using a configured mail box, or SMTP server [as set by user in settings]. This feature may seem trivial but when you consider the number of steps one has to perform to manually email recorded files, this feature in LivePVR pays for itself many more times. Besides, if you use LivePVR regularly, the number of Phone calls and Voice mail messages automatically recorded in the background will be large and it is not practical for someone to remember to scan new recorded files and email them manually with their proper context.

By setting up automatic backup for different LivePVR applications you will be able to save your recorded files and get them back in case the mobile device goes bad, lost or stolen. This is also a great way of moment-in-time sharing of key information with others in your business or personal life.

Backup feature is available in LivePVR Professional and Enterprise edition only.

Backup PVR in LivePVR allows you to Backup to different servers. Users can select different Email ids for each different type of recorded files i.e. Voice notes, meeting notes, phone call recordings, voice mail messages can all be configured to emailed to different email ids. On later versions of LivePVR additional backup server options will be available.

What is Server backup and when will it be available?

Server backup directly backs up your files to a public server cloud or enterprise server accessible through Internet. Development to support various servers and this feature will be available once it is ready.
